What first brought you to yoga and how long have you been practicing?
I started yoga my freshman year of college. I took an elective class and fell in love with it.
What is/are your intention(s) for your yoga practice?
My intentions are movement and consistency.
What is your favorite pose and why?
I love crow pose and flow movement. I also enjoy poses that challenge me, as they are great milestones to see how far I’ve come.
What is your favorite class at InsideOut Yoga?
I enjoy the Tuesday/Thursday Vinyasa class. It helps me get comfortable and move my body in new ways.
How has the practice of yoga influenced your life?
I’ve found a way to move and connect within myself that I truly enjoy and hope to do for as long as I can.
What advice would you have for a beginning yoga student?
To just try it, keep an open mind, and notice how you feel afterward.
What is your occupation?
I am a full-time student at University of Lynchburg
What activities do you enjoy?
I enjoy volleyball, being outdoors whether walking, hiking, or camping. I also enjoy reading and creating art.
What is your favorite thing about living in the Northern Neck or Middle Peninsula?
I was raised in the NNK, and it has really shaped me into who I am today. My favorite thing about living there is the community.
